I am very glad to say I was able to attend the Monkees concert at the Greek Theater in LA last night ! The guys are still sounding great and have fantastic chemistry on stage. They played all their greatest songs (Including Daily Nightly, despite the absence of a Moog) and really seemed to be enjoying playing onstage again. Through all the adorable dancing and singing, I do admit to shedding a tear when they dimmed the stage lights and played the music video for I Wanna Be Free in Davy's memory. It was fantastic to see the remaining Monkees play live and I'm happy I was a part of it
The english one. The short one. The cute one. The one with the tambourine. Whatever you knew him as, Davy Jones will be sorely missed. He died of a heart attack on Feb. 29, 2012. Even after the Monkees, Davy was still capturing the hearts of America's female teeny-boppers. No matter how hard they try, today's singers and stars will never surpass him. There can never be another Davy Jones. Rest in peace, Davy.

Welcome to Monkeesfan.com! This is a fan site in case you hadn't guessed. I myself am a Monkees fan, however, I was not around when the group was a group! So you are welcome at this site if you are a long time fan or a new one - even if you just found out yesterday who the Monkees are!
